Ahn Jae-wook recently met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, saying, `Thank you for the viewers' love of the work,' and `Thanks to this, I think I received too much love.'
KBS2's weekend drama that ended on the 3rd 'Please take care of the 5 Eagle brothers!' (played by Yoo Sang-sook, directed by Choi Sang-yeol and Lee Jin-ah) is a work about a ripe family story created by the eldest brother, who became the breadwinner of her husband's sudden death 10 days after marriage to five brothers with a long-standing brewery eagle sultoga, with a highest viewership rating of 21.9% (counted by Nielsen Korea, nationwide). Ahn Jae-wook is the chairman of LX Hotel and played Han Dong-seok, who has been dead with his wife for 15 years.
Ahn Jae-wook said "The shooting was over last Monday. It's a shame that I had a lot of affection with the actors because I had a longer breath than other works. Me too, but I think the friends who came out as the five brothers will have a strong heart for each other," he said in his closing remarks.
Ahn Jae-wook returned to KBS drama in nine years after KBS2 weekend drama 'Child 5' in 2016. He said "Now I'm in too much of a senior position. When it comes to weekend dramas that we used to know, there should be seniors from the upper generation, but they weren't here this time. "I was so grateful that my juniors knew their position on the set."
Not only that, 'Please take care of the five eagle brothers!' was originally planned for 50 episodes, but the fourth part was extended thanks to the enthusiastic love of viewers. Ahn Jae-wook said, `Even if you don't care about the ratings, of course, it's good if you get a good rating.' Both the staff and actors felt a lot that 'It's not easy to exceed 20% of the ratings. These days, OTT allows you to select and view the work you want. Even if weekend dramas are older than other works, it's not easy, so I'm grateful that many people like them. I feel like I've received too much love thanks to you."
