The second episode of KBS2's weekend drama `The Brilliant Days' (played by So Hyun-kyung and directed by Kim Hyung-seok), which aired on the 10th, depicted Lee Sang-chul's (Cheon Ho-jin) cancellation of employment and his son Lee Ji-hyuk's (Jung Il-woo) declaration of independence.
In yesterday's broadcast, Ji-hyuk reiterated his will for independence at a meal with his family, but seemed to have stepped back from his conversation with his father, Sang-cheol, who strongly opposes it. However, it was just that he was not willing to persuade Sang-cheol, and Ji-hyuk's will was firm. The gap between the two people with very different values foreshadowed a full-fledged clash in the future, giving tension on the eve of the storm.
On the other hand, the warm daily life of the Eunoh family added to the warmth of the drama. The appearance of a daughter who helps her mother Jeong Soon-hee (Kim Jung-young) work at the store and a mother who takes care of her daughter who works late at night conveyed calm family love. On the other hand, Eun-oh accidentally helped Ko Sung-hee (Lee Tae-ran), who collapsed due to low blood sugar at the subway station, and had a subtle first relationship. As the identity of Ko Sung-hee, who was secretly watching Eun-oh, raised questions, it heralded a narrative that was more than just a coincidence.

Sang-cheol was confused when Sung Il-jik's offer to be an advisor was canceled. While the position was blank due to President Choi's illness, Sung Il-jik sent a large amount of consolation money and tried to cover up the situation with money instead of an apology. Knowing this, the family was in great shock, and Sang-cheol could not contain his anger and raised the tension of the play once again.
Ji-hyuk and Soobin (Shin Soo-hyun), who overheard the situation, also found out about their father's cancellation of employment, and Ji-hyuk was confused by recalling the wounds he had received from Sang-cheol in the past. However, he couldn't turn a blind eye to his responsibility as the eldest son, and eventually canceled the officetel contract for independence and gave up his mind.
At the end of the broadcast, Eun-oh took courage and offered a sincere confession to Ji-hyuk. However, Jihyuk rejected her heart with a cold remark "You don't fit in with me" in a heartbeat, amplifying the curiosity about the next story with a sad confession rejection ending.
In this way, the main characters' emotional changes and major events quickly swirled in just two episodes, and the immersive development and delicate production shone from the beginning of the play. As full-fledged conflict and entanglement between characters begin, expectations for future narratives are rising.
Meanwhile, KBS2's weekend drama `Gorgeous Days' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m.
