'My Youth', which will premiere on September 5, recently released a second teaser video featuring the reunion of Mo Tae-rin (Lee Joo-myung) and Kim Seok-joo (Seo Ji-hoon). The two's bickering chemistry is raising expectations by unraveling the excitement of their first love differently.
'My Youth' is an emotional romance about regaining 'I' amid a reunion between Sun Woo-hae (Song Joong-ki) and his first love Sung Je-yeon (Cheon Woo-hee), who started a normal life later than others. Director Lee Sang-yup, who showed sensational production with the series `Yumi's Cells" and the author Park Si-hyun of RunOn" are considered the most anticipated works in the second half of 2024.
In the released video, Mo Tae-rin still reveals her honest and wild charm. Kim Seok-joo, the first love, pops up in front of him, who is straightforward to the other actor and can't hold back what he wants to say. In particular, Seok-ju's line, which appeared toward Mo Tae-rin, who was in trouble, saying, `I told you not to go alone, honey,' tapped the hearts of the viewers. It was then revealed that Seok-ju's voice, which was playing in the broadcasting room when she was 18, was the only comfort for Mo Tae-rin, stimulating the memory of her first love.
However, Kim Seok-joo only remembers Mo Tae-rin as a famous actor and cannot even recall the fact that she attended the same school. This subtle gap between memories makes us even more curious about the story of the two in the future. When the teaser was released, the online community posted "Lee Joo-myung and Seo Ji-hoon, so I'm looking forward to it more." The reactions such as "'The combination of faces' itself is exciting' and "'It's refreshing that there's also such a spicy version of first love.'"
In the play, Lee Joo-myung plays the honest and attractive child star-turned-actor Mo Tae-rin, and Seo Ji-hoon plays Kim Seok-joo, a tax accountant and Ta-rin's first love. The two are going to empathize with viewers by drawing emotions that are similar to each other.
JTBC's new Friday series 'My Youth' will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on Friday, September 5, and will be broadcast twice a week. It will be released through Coupang Play in Korea and Viu and Rakuten Viki overseas.
