Actors Cho Yo-jung and Jung Sung-il meet with the audience in a backroom thriller this fall.

The film 'Killer Report' production briefing session was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 12th. Actors Cho Yeo-jung, Jung Sung-il and Cho Young-joon attended the scene.

Released on Sept. 5, 「Killer Report" is a story about psychiatrist Younghoon asking veteran reporter Sun-joo, who is thirsty for a scoop, for an interview in which he confesses to serial murder, and director Cho Young-joon of"Chabbi" and"Song of the Sun" took the megaphone.

'Killer Report' is a unique subject of a one-on-one close-up interview with a serial killer, depicting a tense psychological game between a reporter and a killer. Director Cho said, `From the beginning, I started writing the scenario with the character of a reporter and a serial killer. When I went to the zoo before, I saw a child watching a tiger"I thought a different atmosphere would be created if the bars blocking the gap moved to the back. I wanted to talk about the tension that two people create in one space," he said.

He also said why he cast Cho Yo-jung and Jung Sung-il. Director Cho "I didn't want to portray the two actors as flat characters while casting them. I thought it would be nice to have both human aspects, just a difference in metaphors, with one good figure and the other evil figure"In that sense, Baek Seon-ju fits exactly with Cho Yeo-jeong and Lee Young-hoon. As you can see from the movie, the decision on which of the two characters is good and evil will be made by the audience themselves, raising expectations.

Cho Yo-jung and Jung Sung-il are also expected to show new faces that they have not shown so far. Cho Yo-jung plays Baek Sun-joo, a reporter who is engaged in a one-on-one interview with a serial killer because she is desperate for a scoop in the play. He said of the work "It was a movie of a format I've never seen before. It was refreshing that the movie could be made only with a one-on-one interview, and it was amazing that it could fill two hours with considerable tension and density. The scenario itself was very immersive and scary. I wondered if I could do this, and I felt like I had nowhere to hide", he explained.

Nevertheless, I thought about the reason why I participated in the work "Why did the director trust the actor who is me and give me the book?" And I wanted to repay that belief. I once worked with Jung Sung-il for a short time in his previous work '9.9 Billion Women', and I really liked that memory. If we do it together, we can trust and rely on each other to shoot. Even after the shooting was over, it was a good thing that I tried it and took it on a adventureIt occurred to me that '" expressed satisfaction.

Jung Sung-il played Lee Young-hoon, a serial killer, and attempted an unconventional acting transformation. He was practicing his performance when he received the scenario about how he came to join the work"I read the first scenario during the performance practice break, but I used all of the break time only to read the scenario." I couldn't cover the book because I was curious about the back story. As soon as I read the script, I was afraid that I would go to another actor, not me, so I immediately called 'I want to do it '."

Cho Yo-jong was reunited with KBS2 drama `The Woman of 9.9 Billion' followed by the `Killer Report`. Jeong Seong-il "At that time, Cho Yeo-jeong was sweeping all the awards with "Parasite"." Whenever I saw you at the scene, I was grateful for welcoming you as if you had met after a long time. I was looking forward to hearing that I was able to do this work together, but I received a lot of help while filming. In addition to his posture and acting, watching the recent popularity of the movie 「Zombie Daughter」, he said, `I was glad that I did it with him (laughs)," and `I called him 'Teacher Cho' even on the spot.'

Finally, Jo Yeo-jeong is loved by the audience with the movie 「Zombie Daughter」 released on the 30th of last month. After surpassing 3 million viewers at the fastest pace this year on the 9th, "Zombie Daughter" is set to break its highest score in 2025.

Cho Yo-jong "As an actor, all I can do is thank you. In fact, it was a great challenge to "Zombie Daughter" but I'm happy to show you a completely different genre of charm, "Killer Report" and "I hope the audience will like it."," he said of the wind.

Jung Sung-il, who starred in his first commercial film through the Murderer Report",It is unexpected and an honor for his family. I don't have any regrets if I die now (laughs). It's too much pressure for me, but I wanted to do my best without any regrets. I'm just grateful to be able to be with such good actors." When asked if he had a target score, Jung Sung-il said, "I want to continue the momentum of "Zombie Daughter"." It's not because it's a movie I starred in, but I'm confident."
