Director Yeon Sang-ho said "The reason I first wrote the story was that I was obsessed with achievement. I started with where it was made. Then, Korea achieved rapid growth in the 1970s, and the story expanded to what Korean modern history had lost and exploited."Park Jung-min's idea was the core. The budget was proposed and had to be implicitly expressed. At first, I was going to make it 100 million, but it was a story that I didn't know about the world. I was worried about what if I made it rough, but as Park Jung-min came in from the first step, it has already become an irreversible river. Everyone helped me with a good heart, so the quality was higher than I expected. There seems to be the power and energy that a low-budget movie can give. These days, I have a desire to make it into a system, so I did a rough calculation, but I need at least 2 billion won to make a movie. I am deeply thinking that I hope that movies that are different from the standards that have been made so far will continue to come out," he said of his intention to direct.
Formally invited to the 50th Toronto International Film Festival Special Presentation Section, 'Face' tells the story of a blind but reborn man, a master of all fields, and his son digging into the mystery of the death of his wife and mother, who have been buried for 40 years. Park Jung-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-bin, Lim Sung-jae, and Han Ji-hyun appeared, and Yeon Sang-ho, director of 'Train to Busan'Ban Peninsula', took the megaphone. It will be released on the 11th.
