MBC Launches First ‘Fan Athletics Championships’ with Global Fandom Participation

MBC's global fandom platform 'Muniverse' held a special event 'Fan Championship (fan athletics competition)' for the first time for idol fandom around the world.
The "Fan Championship" is a participatory donation event in which fans donate their steps to idol teams. A total of 10 million won will be donated to Save the Children under the name of the idol to the 1st to 3rd fandom, which has donated the most steps combined by fandom.
Although this event, which began on the 1st, is the first competition, the fans' response is so hot that the cumulative number of steps as of the previous day (8th) exceeded about 56 million steps.
In particular, the event is drawing attention as it is a form in which fans participate as the subject themselves, and it is expected to create a new type of fandom festival beyond just idol support.

The 「Fan Championship」, which will continue until September 15, will be held by registering the participation code provided by MBC Muniverse on the"CHERRY' app, and Kofan Global (Withmu) participated as the main sponsor.
The final result of 'Fan Championship (Fan Athletics Championship)' will be revealed through the MBC 2025 Chuseok Special Idol Star Championship (Idol Star Championship)' scheduled to be broadcast during the Chuseok holiday in October.
