Han Seok-gyu's revenge drama broke out..Top viewer rating of 10.6% for the new president's project, roof kick

Han Suk-kyu completely destroyed the villainous rich man (父) who believed in power and ran wild.

In the fifth episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 『New President Project" (directed by Ban Ki-ri, Shin Kyung-soo), which aired on the 29th, President Shin (Han Seok-kyu) threatened employees and overpowered Choi Woong-sik (Park Won-sang) and Choi Yong-min (Byung-heon), who tried to cover up with money and power, giving them a thrilling catharsis.

President Shin, who found out that Choi Yong-min's heinous crime was covered up by Choi Woong-sik, a father and city councilor, visited Choi Woong-sik and pointed out his son's atrocities toward Cho Philip (Bae Hyun-sung) and Lee Si-on (Ire) and strongly demanded that Choi Woong-sik resign before the fourth election.

However, Choi Woong-sik, who drew the line by saying that he is not a backseat to his children's work, caused anger by bending his head down as if he wanted to run to the residents of the shopping mall affected by his son's crime. Even a competent politician took care of the image of a father who does not feel the same way about his children, causing him to be reluctant.

In the midst of this, Jo Philip went out to bring Choi Yong-min's school violence case, which had been buried, to the world. In the past, he was also a victim of a school violence, so he felt more at heart. Based on the advice of President Shin, Philip approached the victims of Choi Yong-min's school violence and steadily collected evidence to reveal the truth.

On the other hand, President Shin was plotting a fight against Choi Woong-sik and Choi Yong-min in an unusual way. President Shin, who gathered people and acquaintances of the backward shopping mall and announced his candidacy for the city council, surprised everyone by revealing the big picture that he would become a rival to Choi Woong-sik himself.

Their passionate moves led to several clues. After twists and turns, Philip Cho secured a video of Choi Woong-sik handing over money and valuables to the family of the victims of the school violence, and Kim Soo-dong (Jeong Eun-pyo), the official in charge of the Administrative Welfare Center, revealed that there was a deal in which a foreign worker at a junkyard obtained permanent residence with the help of a city council member.

On top of that, President Shin noted that Choi Woong-sik has achieved unification by buying candidates with high approval ratings with money at every election. As a result, President Shin also proposed unification by informing other candidates of Choi Woong-sik's corruption, which increased his approval rating, and eventually reached the stage of receiving a unification proposal from Choi Woong-sik.

President Shin properly took the lead in the negotiations, throwing a completely different request to Choi Woong-sik, who later came to him. President Shin asked Cho Philip and Lee Si-on, as well as other victims, to show an attitude of reflection, and Choi Woong-sik implemented it as Shin's wish.

However, contrary to his promise, Shin declared his resignation in a surprise move, preventing anyone from absorbing Shin's approval rating, and at the same time, bolstered his rival Kwon Bong-geun (Huh Jeong-do) to lead Choi to his defeat. It also released the evidence it had collected so far, giving a perfect cider with a pleasant ending that put Choi Woong-sik, Choi Yong-min, and even those involved in their illegal activities on the bench of the law.

On the other hand, in the ending, the scene of President Shin visiting the killer who killed his son was depicted. After seeing a mentally disturbed killer, Shin said "I'll live like that for the rest of my life. If your condition improves even as much as dust, I will kill you for sure."

The 5th episode of New President Project, which aired on the same day, broke its own highest ratings with an average of 8% for households in the metropolitan area, up to 9.7%, a national average of 8.7%, and up to 10.6%, ranking first in all channels, including terrestrial broadcasting. In addition, it ranked first in cable and general programming channels and all channels in tvN's target 2049 male and female viewership.
