On the morning of the 23rd, SBS Hall on the 13th floor of SBS in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, held a production presentation for SBS' new music audition 'Our Ballad'. Producer Jeong Ik-seung, director Jeong Jae-hyung, Cha Tae-hyun, Jeon Hyun-moo, Danny Koo, Crush, and Jung Seung-hwan attended to talk about the program.
'Our Ballad' is a musical audition that recreates life ballads that encompass generations with new voices. It tries to differentiate itself from existing auditions by participating in voting directly by 150 men and women of all ages and determining the results. SBS, SM Entertainment, and SM C&C collaborated to produce a large project-like scale.
At the meeting, Jung Jae-hyung thought a lot about "Can I actually do "I was also worried because I was working as a drama music producer at the same time. But it's a good thing that we did it on the first day of recording' was convinced. Viewers will probably feel the same way when they see it."
Regarding the difference in the program, "We all take it differently even with one song" and "Not a single thing is the same as Jeon Hyun-moo. It's fun to share different emotions while listening to the same song", he explained.
It also emphasized the stage of participants who crossed generational differences. When young participants interpret songs from 20 to 30 years ago, they have completely different results. It becomes a new story when a participant, who is about the same age as a son or daughter, sings a song of a parent generation. "Even if you're not good at it, your sincerity gives you a greater impression. That's what 'our ballad's own power' he said.
Finally, Jung Jae-hyung laughed and added, `My favorite songs usually don't make the top 100.' `That's how much this program attempts to capture popularity and musicality at the same time.'
Meanwhile, 'Our Ballad' will premiere at 9 p.m. on the 23rd, and the first broadcast will run for 160 minutes in a special expanded program.
