Actor Lee Hak-joo made a new acting transformation by playing a 10-year-old younger couple through JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Squire: Lawyers Who Dream of becoming a Lawyer' (hereinafter 'Squire') and drew attention to the reaction of his wife, who is actually older.

Lee Hak-joo met with Sports Chosun at the SM C&C building in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 9th and responded to the end of the work.

Lee Hak-joo, who played the character of the third-year lawyer of the law firm Yulim', Lee Jin-woo, raised the level of perfection with a narrative that pays off from unrequited love in the play, and in the last episode, he continued to propose and received enthusiastic support from viewers.

In fact, Lee Hak-ju is married to an older wife, so she drew more attention as her acting and personal history overlapped.

In the interview, Lee Hak-joo's setting of "10 years older was initially somewhat burdensome. I didn't look young, and I wondered if the viewers could accept it. "But in the end, I thought that the important thing was not the age difference, but the sincere love between the characters. So rather, I acted with the focus on love itself."

Regarding his actual marriage to an older wife, he said, `I have never thought deeply about the framework of being older than him. It was just natural because there was an attraction between men and women and we met. Age has never been a problem," he said honestly. "The 10-year gap in the play is an area that I have never experienced in reality, but my wife is older, so there was a point where I naturally sympathized while acting."," he added.

In particular, he said that his romance chemistry with Jeon Hye-bin was thanks to his on-the-spot chemistry. He was worried because he didn't have much experience in the romance genre, but Jeon Hye-bin gave a lot of advice, saying 'Do whatever you want to do at the scene'. There were a lot of emotionally difficult scenes, but he always supported me, so I was able to finish the shoot happily."

The wife's reaction was also a must-have topic. Lee Hak-joo said, `I watched the broadcast with my wife, and I was more embarrassed, so I looked at the screen at an angle. In particular, it was rather fortunate that my wife saw the episode alone because of other schedules," he said with a smile. Then "I said two emotions while watching the proposal scene. He said, "In fact, I only made it simple with letters, but in the drama, I was jealous because it was big, and at the same time, I was glad that it would have been too burdensome to receive it in front of many people."

Meanwhile, the final episode of 'Esquire', which aired on the 7th, recorded 9.1% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 8.4% in the country, and the highest ratings per minute soared to 10.1% in the Seoul metropolitan area. (Based on Nielsen Korea's paid households)
