The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards, which will shine on Korean film night, will hold a handprinting event at CGV Yeouido at 11 a.m. on the 29th with major winners of last year's 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
This year's Blue Dragon Film Awards hand-printing event will be attended by Hwang Jung-min, Kim Go-eun, Jung Hae-in, Lee Sang-hee, Noh Sang-hyun, and Park Joo-hyun, the winners of the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards held in November 2024, leaving a record of successive winners. Handprinting is a traditional pre-event of the Blue Dragon Film Awards, and it is a meaningful place to engrave the footsteps of filmmakers who were honored with the Blue Dragon Film Awards last year.
Hwang Jung-min of 'Seoul Spring' played the role of security commander Chun Doo-kwang, perfecting his mad performance of rebellion blinded by power and embracing the 45th Blue Dragon Film Award for Best Actor. Winning the third trophy after `You are my destiny''New World', he has established himself as the face of Korean movies and the most trusted actor of Cheongryong, with heavy acting and deep resonance.
Kim Go-eun won the Best Actress Award for her intense charismatic performance as Hwa-rim, a shaman who soothes her original soul, in 'Pamyo'. It was the first time in 12 years since he won the Rookie of the Year award for 'Eungyo' at the 33rd Blue Dragon Film Awards, and was well received by the audience for his deeper acting skills and mature emotional expression.
Jung Hae-in of 'Veteran2' and Lee Sang-hee of 'Roh Ki-wan' were recognized for their outstanding acting skills by winning Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, respectively. Jung Hae-in led the flow of the play by digesting his first villain character with his sharp emotional line and restrained energy, and proved his wide support by winning two awards including the Cheongjeongwon Popular Star Award. Lee Sang-hee proved her unlimited acting spectrum by completing the Korean-Chinese character in a realistic way.
Roh Sang-hyun of 「Loving the City」 and Park Joo-hyun of"Drive" announced the emergence of a new generation by winning the 45th Blue Dragon Film Award for Best New Actor and Best New Actress, respectively. Noh Sang-hyun challenged the LGBTQ acting and expressed his sincerity by capturing the emotional texture of the character in detail, while Park Joo-hyun proved his potential as a next-generation actor by convincingly portraying the inner side of the character in his first feature film.
The Blue Dragon Film Awards' handprinting is a symbolic event that continues the history of Korean films through the handprints of actors representing the year.
Meanwhile, the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony will be held at KBS Hall in Yeouido on November 19 and will be broadcast live on KBS2.
