‘Boss’ Hits 1 Million Viewers in Record Time, Dominates Chuseok Box Office



Comic action starring Cho Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, and Park Ji-hwan continues to run in the box office.

'Boss', which has drawn attention as the only comedy film this Chuseok, surpassed 1 million viewers in just five days after its release.

According to the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council on the 7th, the cumulative number of viewers exceeded 1 million as of this morning. This is ahead of the shortest period of 1 million Korean movies released in October after the pandemic in 2020, and has become a new box office player in the Chuseok theater this year.




'Boss' was the only comedy genre even before its release and ranked first in the overall reservation rate. On the first day of its release, it attracted about 240,000 people to set the highest opening score among Korean films released in October after the pandemic, and has remained at the top of the box office for four consecutive days since then.

The film tells the story of a strange competition that takes place in the run-up to the election of the next boss whose future depends on the organization's desire and survival. Cho Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Kyu-hyung will appear to present a pleasant and thrilling comic action.
