Kang Ha-neul’s New Comedy ‘The First Ride’ Dominates Box Office on Release Day



The comedy film 『First Ride" (directed by South Korean director, produced by Brain Shower, TH Story) topped the box office of all films on the first day of its release, heralding a good start.

On the first day of its release on the 29th, 'First Ride' attracted 82,687 (accumulated audiences including previews) and topped the box office overwhelmingly, beating 'Chainsaw Man: Lessepyeon'.

This is a new opening score (81,673) of the 3.85 million box office hit 'Firefighters'. In addition, Kang Ha-neul's previous work and the opening score (85,705) of 'Opposition', which ranks second in the Korean movie box office in 2025 with 3.37 million, is expected to be a pleasant word-of-mouth race in the future.
