Kang Ha-neul’s New Comedy ‘The First Ride’ Dominates Box Office on Release Day

On the first day of its release on the 29th, 'First Ride' attracted 82,687 (accumulated audiences including previews) and topped the box office overwhelmingly, beating 'Chainsaw Man: Lessepyeon'.
This is a new opening score (81,673) of the 3.85 million box office hit 'Firefighters'. In addition, Kang Ha-neul's previous work and the opening score (85,705) of 'Opposition', which ranks second in the Korean movie box office in 2025 with 3.37 million, is expected to be a pleasant word-of-mouth race in the future.
"First Ride" was a reunion between director Kang Ha-neul and South Korean director Kang Ha-neul on the 30th, and even before its release, it heralded the comedy film "Trust and Laugh"."
