The 'Last Summer' that comes in winter hits the hearts of viewers.
KBS held a production presentation for KBS2's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'The Last Summer' (written by Jeon Yu-ri and directed by Min Yeon-hong) at The St. in Guro-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 29th. Producer Min Yeon-hong, Lee Jae-wook, Choi Sung-eun and Kim Gun-woo attended the event.
"Last Summer" is a remodeled romance drama that unfolds when a man and a woman who have been friends since childhood face the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box. Lee Jae-wook plays genius architect Baek Do-ha, and Choi Sung-eun plays architect Song Ha-kyung, a seventh-grade civil servant. In addition, Kim Gun-woo plays Seo Soo-hyuk, a lawyer with a 99% winning rate, and meets viewers.
Producer Min Yeon-hong, who directed the movie, said "The script was very interesting. The script is bouncy, the characters are lovely and cute, and I thought this work was so fun. It's a drama that makes such beautiful love in the background of summer, and the human romance genre that heals each person's pain is my personal favorite, so I wanted to do this work", he explained.
The drama's main actors felt was also quite attractive. Choi Sung-eun "I think there's a charm to the script, which is small but has a lot of people's affability and human smell. I think I believed in the power of the script and participated. It's a drama that deals with the charm of summer, the taste of summer, and the universal emotions that we can feel, so I hope it will be a drama that can gain great empathy and comfort." Kim Geon-woo also became curious about the next scene while reading the script," he praised the charm of the script.

Although there are many stories related to architecture in 'Last Summer', it is not about actual architecture but about 'Architecture of the mind'. Producer Min said "It is a story of people who have been living through a fateful summer for several years, and construction often does not proceed in winter. It's not a story of us actually building a house, but it's a story about how we can remodel this house into our house by projecting the pain we each have between the houses that have already been built. However, as an architect and a building official, a story about architecture appears as a lawyer who defends its contents. In fact, the architecture of the mind seems to be the most important point."
Lee Jae-wook will also try to play the second role for the first time in his life through Last Summer. Lee Jae-wook was burdened because it was his first time playing a two-person character. We talked about our concerns because there should be a difference, but due to the nature of the script, there are gods that need to create confusion about Doha and Do Young. It was difficult to express differently while having a similar aspect in such gods. So I talked to the director several times, and active gestures and hand gestures that could show an impromptu aspect, and the character DOYOUNG used more emotional and calm acting. I thought it might be confusing because the same face came out when I looked at the overall frame, but when I looked at the edited version, I thought it was expressed better than I thought, so I'm satisfied."

Lee Jae-wook and Choi Sung-eun reveal their chemistry that they have been together for a long time. Lee Jae-wook said Choi Sung-eun's chemistry score was 100 points"Honestly, I wasn't up to 100 points." Lee Jae-wook then said "I'm joking, and (Choi) Sung is an actor who wants to learn anything and do it with her. Choi Sung-eun is older than me and may have more experience, but she often looked beautiful and pretty in the field. So I wanted to keep breathing with this person." Lee Jae-wook continued "My chemistry score is 95 out of 100. The other five points were taken out because I thought I might have missed something in the midst of being too busy and hectic on my own.
Actors and producer Min Yeon-hong expressed their confidence that it will be a drama that will break KBS's sluggishness. Producer Min Yeon-hong is a drama that made my heart cry. What you can tell me was that it was so good, I think I would be happier to hear the story. I hope the number comes out well and 30% comes out"Since it's a drama that moistens the warmth from the beginning, with your family, there are love that you couldn't confess or words that you couldn't confess, and what kind of last season did you say?" I hope it's a drama where you can get the courage to confess it. I hope you can watch it with your family and lovers in a fun and warm place," he said.
Lee Jae-wook said "It is a drama in which characters with pain grow up. I hope I can approach you with a warm drama"There is always a desire to have a viewership of 2-30%, but in reality, there are times when the needs of viewers these days are not distinguished, and there are times when it is difficult to film." It'd be great if the ratings were close to 10%, but I think it'd be great if it's a graph that goes up gradually" revealed the wind.
'The Last Summer' will premiere at 9:20 p.m. on November 1.
