'Shin's Project' Sees Record Ratings Amid High-Stakes Real Estate Case

Han Suk-kyu, Bae Hyun-sung, and Lee-re faced a charter fraud case that caused the loss of humanity.

In the 6th episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Shin's Project' (directed by Ban Ki-ri, scripted by Shin Kyung-soo) on the 30th of last month, Shin (Han Seok-kyu), Cho Philip (Bae Hyun-sung), and Lee Si-on (Ire) gave an eye-watering sense of immersion by digging into real estate crimes together.

On this day, President Shin was asked by senior judge Kim Sang-geun (Kim Sang-ho) to mediate a lawsuit between Baek Seung-moo (Jonghyun Lee) and Ko Jae-kyung (Ryu Ha-joon) who were in the same class as nursery school. In accordance with Shin's belief that the basis of negotiations is to identify information, Shin and Cho Philip went to the nursery where they grew up, disguised as small media reporters, and confirmed that the two were special friends as children and still live in the same building.

However, when they arrived at the building, President Shin and Philip Cho witnessed the scene of a reversal in which Baek Seung-moo and Ko Jae-kyung were engaged in a fierce physical fight. President Shin, who managed to calm the two down, confirmed his expression after hearing the complex and subtle story. Baek Seung-moo, the owner of the building, did not receive the deposit of the tenant Ko Jae-kyung from his mother, Oh Mi-sook (Jeong Ae-yeon), causing a rift in their friendship.

After hearing Baek Seung-moo's story that only his name belongs to him and his mother manages all the funds, Shin realized that both were victims of Oh Mi-sook's fraud. Soon after, he asked Kim Soo-dong (Jung Eun-pyo) of the Administrative Welfare Center for help, and Oh Mi-sook was shocked to find out that she owns as many as 10 tinned rental houses, and her lover Lee Min-cheol (Yang Jong-wook) was also a three-time real estate fraud conviction.

The chicken restaurant family's new president, Cho Phillip, and Lee Si-on expressed anger at Oh Mi-sook's behavior of using her son, who had abandoned him at the nursery only for money, and launched a full-fledged hero mode. First, President Shin used the financial resources of Cheonin Food Chairman Park Myung-jin (Jeon Kook-hwan) to successfully infiltrate a VIP real estate study group where Lee Min-chul is active, and received Lee Min-cheol's business card with a slick performance.

In addition, Lee Si-on, who transformed beautifully with the help of Joo Ma-dam (Umhwa), the representative of Club Secret, followed Oh Mi-sook by disguising herself as a dating couple with Jo Philip. Since then, the two have witnessed the suspicious movement of Oh Mi-sook and Lee Min-cheol getting ready to head somewhere after completing their fraudulent activities, raising tensions in the play.

Even before the ominous energy had gone, Jo Philip received a call from Ko Jae-kyung saying he could not reach Baek Seung-moo and hurriedly visited his house. There, Oh Mi-sook's track record of disappearing after returning all the tin rental houses in her son's name and Baek Seung-moo, who attempted an extreme choice over the terrible fact, fell weakly, triggering anger among viewers and raising curiosity about the next story.

On the other hand, President Shin, who lost his son 15 years ago, was deeply saddened by the anniversary of his son's death. In particular, President Shin found the killer Yoon Dong-hee (Min Sung-wook), who lost his mind even though he knew he had not heard any answer, and left a dark aftertaste toward the hospital.

In the meantime, Choi Chul (Kim Sung-oh), a police officer who urgently visited President Shin at the end of the broadcast, surprised everyone by telling the unbelievable fact that Yoon Dong-hee ran away from the hospital. Questions intensified over how Yoon Dong-hee, who seemed to be mentally ill, was able to escape and why he escaped from the hospital.

The sixth episode of 'Shin's Project', which aired on the same day, ranked first in all channels, including terrestrial broadcasting, with an average of 7.1 percent for households in the metropolitan area, up to 9.2 percent, and an average of 7.5 percent for households nationwide, up to 9.6 percent. In addition, it was ranked first in cable and general programming channels and all channels in tvN's target 2049 male and female viewership.
