'The strongest baseball should be eliminated from unfair competition'...JTBC Studio C1 intensifies legal battle

The copyright war between JTBC and Studio C1 'Baseball Entertainment' is not expected to end easily.

JTBC took legal action, saying that Studio C1's 'fireball' that is being produced and aired violated the copyright of 'strongest baseball', and the court also recommended that 'fireball' existing video be deleted and new uploads be prohibited. If they violate this, they will impose an indirect compulsory fine of 100 million won per day.

However, Studio C1 is confronting this by appealing it. He claims to be the creator of 'fireball' and says that the project was independently planned in a new format after the production of 'strongest baseball'.

In particular, JTBC said that the copyright infringement of 「'fireball" is clear to Sports Chosun and that the behavior of unfair competition with content that violates the rights of others should be eradicated. It is regrettable that the court's decision will take more time.' Studio C1 said only "There is nothing to reveal because the trial is still ongoing."

The court's recommendation is interpreted as "Leave the production so far, but don't create related content in the future." However, there are calls among fans for the guarantee of freedom of production and creative rights, saying it is impossible to copyright ideas.

While the spark of controversy does not fade easily, attention is focused on the court's final judgment in the future.
