The original TVing, which will be released for the first time on November 6 (Thursday), is the story of Baek A-jin (Kim Yoo-jung), a woman who wears a mask to escape from hell and go up to the highest point, and Xs who are brutally trampled on her. It heralds the birth of a doom melodrama suspense depicting the destruction of Baek A-jin, who hid his cruel true colors behind his beautiful face, and the love of Yoon Joon-seo (Kim Young-dae), who chose hell to protect him.
Dear X is based on a popular webtoon with the same name with a global fandom, and has been drawing keen attention and attention even before its release. Above all, expectations for the original TVing original webtoon are still unabated as a series of topics and popularity, from 'Yumi's Cells'Drinker City Women' which has established itself as a legendary series to 'Pyramid Game'Study Group' which has become a K-academy sensation.
First, 'Yumi's Cells' and 'Drinker City Women' emerged as good examples of webtoon live-action, receiving wide love from the public beyond the original fan. 'Drunker City Women' introduced its second season thanks to its box office success, while 'Yumi's Cells' is set to release in 2026, marking the return of its third season in about three years.
In the first half of last year, 'Pyramid Game', which depicts a brutal survival rank war, and in the first half of this year, 'Study Group', which completed the Munchkin High School action film, performed better than expected, drawing attention. Both works broke away from the typical framework of the existing academy and created favorable reviews by showing genre variations in psychological plays, thrillers, comedy and action.
Meanwhile, the popularity of the original TVing original webtoon is expected to continue through Dear X. Legendary hitmaker Lee Eung-bok, who created 'Sweet Home'Mr. Sunshine'Guardian'Descendants of the Sun', and sensuous and delicate director Park So-hyun, who won the best prize in the KBS one-act play script contest in 2018, and webcomic author Ban Ji-woon. In addition to this, the combination of leading youth actors such as Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, Kim Do-hoon, and Lee Yeol-eum is added to make the waiting exciting. The unconventional material, solid story, and strong personality characters proven through the original webtoon meet the producers and actors of 'Trust and Watch' to raise expectations on how to be reborn.
Meanwhile, the original TVing Dear X will be released for the first time on November 6 at 6 p.m. on TVing in episodes 1-4.
