‘Heroes Next Door’ Blends Humor and High-Stakes Explosions, Boosting Viewer Immersion

Coupang Play X Genie TV's original series 'UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando' is a pleasant and thrilling story of a retired commando who is not even interested in global peace, but only for my family and my neighborhood. In the 3rd and 4th episodes released, the drama's immersion was further enhanced as it approached the reality of the series of explosions that shook Ki Yoon-si.
Another bus explosion occurred before we could figure out the true nature of the car explosion and the ATM explosion, casting a dark shadow over Changri-dong. In the third episode, Choi Kang (Yoon Gye-sang) and Kwak Byung-nam (Jin Sun-kyu), who were wary of each other, delved into the incident together and showed an increasingly irreplaceable neighborhood chemistry, captivating viewers. In particular, in the third episode, Myung-oh (Cho Chan-bin), who got a job at a large company for the first time in three years, was victimized by a bus explosion, and Park Jung-hwan (Lee Jung-ha), who was questioned about the death of his friend Myung-oh, joined the Neighborhood Commando in earnest, and viewers' curiosity about the future development exploded.
In the third episode, there was an action parade that I couldn't take my eyes off for a moment. Choi Kang, who infiltrated the distribution center to find a clue to the vehicle explosion, secured the clue in a skillful way and took a step closer to the reality of the explosion. He then visited the home of the family of the victims of the traffic accident and immediately overwhelmed the group of loan sharks who created a harsh atmosphere, imprinting his presence as a key figure of 'neighborhood commando' with thrilling action.
In the fourth episode, the rapid development, the comic and action-crossing cooperation of 'Neighborhood Commando' made viewers unable to take their eyes off for a moment. Choi Kang, Kwak Byung-nam, Lee Yong-hee (Ko Kyu-pil), and Park Jung-hwan, who realized that they were being eavesdropped on satellite computers, used them reversely to attract criminals, raising tension to its peak. In the process, unexpected comic points were added, such as Park Jung-hwan's so-called 'Umka Flex' scene, which became a new member of 'Neighborhood Commando', and 'Lee Yong-hee's unusual use of equipment, which uses a snack bag to block electromagnetic waves.
Meanwhile, in episode 4, Changni-dong was turned upside down again with the report of explosives. Kim Min-seo (Shin Ye-seo) was in danger with explosives, leading to an urgent moment, and in the process, the hidden performance of Jung Nam-yeon (Kim Ji-hyun), a former special rental assistant, was revealed for the first time, adding to the interest. At the end of the fourth episode, an unidentified man appeared watching the strongest family having a happy time, maximizing suspense as soon as their eyes met, raising questions about the next episode to the highest.
'UDT: My Neighborhood Commando' is released simultaneously every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on Coupang Play, Genie TV, and ENA.
