In the fourth episode of Coupang Play X Genie TV's original series 'UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando', amid a series of mysterious accidents in various parts of the neighborhood, including the explosion of ATMs and village buses, Byung-nam begins to doubt the reality of the incident by combining strange scents he has captured in his daily life. Although he is an ordinary hardware store owner, his tact and lifestyle judgment stemming from his long experience make him positioned as a person who connects the flow of events, not just 'witness'.
In particular, Byung-nam reveals his presence even in relationships with people around him. In the process of gathering clues to the case one by one with the residents of the neighborhood, he simultaneously shows his identity as a `youth chairman' and `oldness' revealed in crisis situations. A realistic conversation with Park Soon-kyung at the police station or contributing to information acquisition by using equipment prepared by the hardware store maximizes the tension and sense of life of the work.
In addition, Byung-nam's true feelings are revealed in every conversation. The scene of reporting the incident to PD Kim In-seop, "A neighbor is dying, shouldn't you do something?" expresses simply and honestly why he has no choice but to take the initiative while taking this risk. This word is the moment that most clearly reveals the sense of life-type justice of the Byung-nam character.
Actor Jin Seon-gyu adds the depth of Kwak Byung-nam's character with delicate breathing that goes between life acting and instantaneous concentration, providing viewers with a strong sense of immersion. Starting from episode 4, "UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando" reveals the outline of the case in earnest, and we are looking forward to seeing how Kwak will continue the puzzle.
Meanwhile, 'UDT: My Neighborhood Commando' is released simultaneously every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on Coupang Play, Genie TV, and ENA.
