JTBC 'Love Me' (directed by Cho Young-min, scripted by Park Eun-young and Park Hee-kwon, produced by SLL, and produced by How Pictures), which will premiere on December 19th, tells the story of a family who has suffered loss in their own way, growing up by starting love again. The recently released teaser raised expectations by showing the cracks of Seo Joon-kyung (Seo Hyun-jin), Seo Jin-ho (Yoo Jae-myung), and Seo Jun-seo (Lee Si-woo) families who have lived through the time that has stopped since the accident of their mother Kim Mi-ran (Jang Hye-jin).
Among them, Seo Joon-kyung and Joo Do-hyun's 「First Date」, which was released, attracts attention with an unexpected atmosphere. Seo Jun-kyung, a decent obstetrician, looks perfect on the outside but has closed his mind to himself since the accident seven years ago. The beginning of human relations itself has become difficult. On the other hand, music director Joo Do-hyun is a character who makes others comfortable with his manners and humor, but he is indifferent to his romantic relationship.
The two turn their eyes to each other little by little through chance, and start to feel a drag that is difficult to explain by recognizing the opponent's deficiency first. And the first date place was surprisingly a eel restaurant. The dating space, which is far from glamorous, feels like the first sign of determination that your relationship will show.
The expressions of the two in the still are also contrasted. Unlike hard-cured Jun-kyung, Do-hyun maintains a relaxed expression with a smile. Even though it is the first date, the scene of sitting face to face without excessive decorations creates a special tension by flowing awkwardness, excitement, and unfamiliarity at the same time.
The production team said, "Jun-kyung and Do-hyun are not characters with the same emotional speed. Therefore, the subtle temperature difference and curiosity between them will come to a much greater extent. "Please pay attention to the first scene where honest emotions are revealed rather than wonderful dates." He then explained that "This deviation will deepen the emotional change much later."
Meanwhile 'Love Me' is based on the original Swedish series and has been remade under the same title in Australia. 'Love Me' will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on December 19 and will air for the first and second consecutive episodes.
