Korean director Lee Sang-il's national treasure revenue surpassed 163.4 billion won, becoming the biggest live-action hit in 22 years

The Japanese film 'National Treasure' (directed by Lee Sang-il) has become the number one live-action movie in Japan.

'National Treasure' surpassed 17.377394 million yen (about 163.4 billion won) in 172 days of release until the 24th, attracting 12.31 million viewers. As a result, 'National Treasure' became the number one Japanese live-action movie in history, surpassing the box office profit of 'Dancing Grand Investigation Line 2: Block Rainbow Bridge'(03) of 17.35 billion yen.

The success of 'national treasure' is a monumental event that broke the record for the first time in 22 years, ranking 11th in Japan's history. All Japanese box offices were ranked from 1st to 11th, with the exception of `Titanic'(97) and"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"(01)''National Treasure'. It is simply a pleasure that live-action movies set a new box office record in an animation powerhouse. In addition, the Japanese film industry has reached a new heyday through 'national treasure', breaking the highest box office record since the pandemic in all live-action films.

As such, 'national treasure', whose live-action film and running time exceeded the limit of 174 minutes, clearly proved that film is art and history.

'National Treasure' was selected as the representative of Japan at the 98th Academy International Film Awards, and was invited to the Cannes International Film Festival in May, the Shanghai International Film Festival in June, the 50th Toronto International Film Festival in September, and the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

A film of novelist Shuichi Yoshida's novel of the same name, 'National Treasure' is a painting of Kabuki actor's half-life until he blossomed his talent and was selected as a human national treasure. Yoshizawa Ryo, Yokohama Ryusei, Takahata Mitsuki, Terajima Shinobu, Morinana, Kurokawa Soya, Watanabe Ken, and director Lee Sang-il of 'Hula Girls'The Evil'The Unforgiven' got the megaphone.
