Netflix held a production presentation for the new series 'You Killed' at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 5th. Director Lee Jung-rim, Jeon Son-i, Lee Yu-mi, Jang Seung-jo and Lee Moo-saeng attended the event.
'You Killed' is a Netflix series about two women who decide to kill in front of the reality that they can't escape without dying or killing them, getting caught up in an unexpected incident. Director Lee Jung-rim, who directed the dramas 'evil' and 'VIP', will be directing, and Jeon Son-i and Lee Yoo-mi will play Cho Eun-soo and Cho Hee-soo, respectively, portraying the stories of the main characters who save each other against violence with tension. Jang Seung-jo has the same face as Hee-soo's husband Noh Jin-pyo, but he plays two roles until Janggang, which is completely contrasted, and Lee Moo-saeng plays Jin So-baek watching Eun-soo and Hee-soo.
'You killed him' is based on Hideo Okuda's novel 'Naomi and Kanako'. Director Lee Jung-rim said, "I read a book before because I'm a fan of the writer, and I'm angry and sad about the lives of the two women, and yet a lot of emotions came to me moving forward. When I heard that I would be able to make a video later, I thought it would be nice if I had a chance, and I thought I should make it well" expressed his feelings.
Like the original, 'You killed' also tells the story of domestic violence victims. They face their misfortunes as they deal with a friendship that kills a friend's husband together for a friend who is a victim of domestic violence. Jeon said, `After a big job, there's something that starts with that timing. There was a point where I thought about what it means in terms of the characters coming in, and 'Are you free now?'It's the timing when you start to feel anxious at the same time as your expectations are high, so I think that part will be interesting" he forewarned.
There are also parts that can cause trauma to viewers because they deal with domestic violence. In response, director Lee Jung-rim "I had in mind that it would be a stimulus." There was a lot of pressure, but I talked to the director a lot, so I only put in the necessary montage, but if you look closely, there are few moments when the body and body touch each other. So I tried to express the disastrous atmosphere by letting one person out of the angle or showing the post-war situation. I thought I needed to study on my own, so I took classes related to domestic violence. As I met the actual survivors, I thought I should be careful because they can watch the drama, too", he explained.

Jang Seung-jo, who played Noh Jin-pyo, a violent husband, said, `First of all, did you read a book before expressing a violent character?? I wanted to get these two out of it and save them. It seems that the mind was ahead of the burden of expressing a violent person. However, when it comes to expressing that character, I think I could have worked with more greed because I am a person who is necessary to show the tension of this drama."
Jang Seung-jo then said "I have a certain pattern of looking at the script, and I read the script at that time and looked at Jinpyo, and it was almost 100 and always over 90. If I check the next day and the next day, the stress index continues to rise at that point. I'm sorry I couldn't spit on the script. The stress was at its extreme. It was interesting."
In the meantime, stories of female-centered narratives appeared one after another, such as 'Ama'I 'Eunjung and 'Eunjung', but they were not successful on the global stage. Jeon Soni said, `I think our story and the pleasure of genre characteristics are only in our work. I worked hard on jiu-jitsu. I don't know how much I practiced, but I did everything myself," he said, expressing confidence. Lee Yu-mi says, "Since there is a long-term characteristic, I think the difference is that there are certain situations faced by these two actors, and differences from the moment they make some unusual choices and decisions. Wouldn't that be very different. That's what I'm thinking" he said.
'You killed him' will be released on Netflix at 5 p.m. on the 7th.
