On the 26th, the Korea Music and Performing Arts Association announced that the 「Duruduru Popular Music Concert」 scheduled for March 28 at the Ungbu Hall of the Andong Culture and Arts Center was canceled for the safety of citizens due to the spread of forest fires in Andong.
"We will discuss the implementation and cancellation of the postponement due to the cancellation of the performance in the future after the wildfire situation ends."
Initially, the Korea Music and Public Association was scheduled to hold a 'Duruduru Popular Music Concert' at the Ungbu Hall of the Andong Culture and Arts Center in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, on the 28th. Park Sang-min, Baek Ji-young, Lim Semo, and Eloui were in the lineup for the performance.
Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Music and Public Association, the performance is a program to visit cultural underprivileged areas in person with various genres of music and deliver opportunities for cultural enjoyment. So far, it has been successfully held in three places: Cheorwon, Ulsan, and Boeun.
Free performances were planned to continue in a total of 13 regions until the end of April, including Pyeongchang on the 26th and Andong on the 28th, but the performance was also canceled due to the unexpected spread of forest fires, which is regrettable.
The recent forest fire, which started in Uiseong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, has spread to Yeongdeok through Andong and Cheongsong. In Andong, post offices and agricultural cooperative buildings are burned down, while Yeongdeok has been suffering from a series of damages, including a power outage due to forest fires.
