Red Velvet’s Irene & Seulgi Release 2nd Mini-Album and Announce Solo Concert

Red Velvet-Irene & Seulgi's second mini-album 'TILT' will be released on various music sites at 6 p.m. on May 26, and the music video for the title song 'TILT' will be available at the same time on YouTube SMTOWN channel.
The album contains a total of six songs depicting various stories and relationships, including the title song 'TILT', which contains the message that the more we shake, the more we shine, which is enough to enjoy the more advanced music world of Irene & Seulgi, who will make a comeback in about five years.
In addition, Irene & Seulgi will celebrate their comeback with fans from all over the world by performing a countdown live on YouTube's Red Velvet channel from 5 p.m. today.

Q. Red Velvet-Irene & Seulgi's comeback in about five years since their first mini-album 'Monster'(Monster). How do you feel?
- Irene: Thank you so much to everyone who waited for Irene & Seulgi's album. As much as the fans looked forward to it, we worked hard on this album, so please listen to it a lot.
- I wanted to show you how we've grown over the past five years. Through this album, Irene & Seulgi's unique color can be contained, so while preparing??Yes.
Q. As it's been a long time since we've performed as a unit, I wonder what you paid most attention to while preparing for this album.
- Irene: I think it's a combination of me and Seulgi. Vocal and performance-wise, I think Irene and Seulgi went well with the first mini album.
- Seulgi: We practiced a lot in detail so that we could harmonize with each other, from visual to vocal to performance.
Q. Tell me how you felt when you first heard the title song 'TILT' and what you should pay attention to.
- Irene: I thought it was exactly like Irene & Seulgi. There were other songs that were nominated in different styles, but I couldn't give up on Irene & Seulgi's feeling given by 'TILT'. I'm really curious how the fans will listen to 'TILT'.
- As soon as I heard "TILT", I felt the understated sophistication, and the message of the song seemed to show us now. Irene & Seulgi, who grew up through their own solo albums, liked the fact that they were able to gradually balance and show an upgraded version through this unit album, and were selected as the title song without disagreement from everyone.
Q. We released 3 concept album jackets and brand films, what was your favorite concept and styling?
- Irene : black dress outfit from teaser content Pt.1. I was also happy that fans waited for me and liked my other outfits, blonde hair, and short hair, but I think the black dress is the outfit that shows the basic attitude of this album.
- Seulgi: I like the styling of the teaser content Pt.3. I wore a hair-colored wig that I've never shown before for my first time, but everyone thought it was my hair because it was too natural. And I was proud because I heard a lot that it looked good on me.
Q. Tell me what the highlights of the title song 'TILT' music video are and if you had any memorable episodes while filming it, please tell me.
- Irene: In this music video, there were a lot of scenes where I confronted Seulgi, and it reminds me of working together and exchanging emotions. I'm nervous and excited because I can show my fans a new side of me and Seulgi's relationship. I hope you enjoy it!
- There are a lot of scenes that seem to compete with each other to the lyrics of 'Love and hate', but it's a different shoot, so I'm looking forward to how it will come out. And it was hard to hold back my laughter when I worked with Irene. In the scene where we look at each other closely, we intentionally acted while looking at an ambiguous place.
Q. We can't forget about performance when it comes to Irene & Seulgi. What is the performance point of this title song 'TILT"?
- Irene : The choreography point is the performance where Seulgi and I lean and symmetrical like scales and seesaws in accordance with the meaning of 'TILT' of ' to be tilted. We worked hard on it, so please look forward to our performance.
- We're going to show you a variety of sloping performances. It looks easy, but I think it was difficult while practicing because it was a choreography with a lot of detailed details. But you can do it. (laughs)

- Irene: I think all the processes I spent with Seulgi while preparing for this album are memorable. I think I can't forget the moments when we focused on matching each other's voices when recording, and when we filmed the jacket and music video, we worked on the emotions and actions. So I think it'll be memorable as an album that's even more precious.
- Irene and I have known each other for 16 years. I looked at the last album at home, and I realized that I spent a lot of memories with my sister, and even if there are no special episodes, all the time we spent together is precious. I think all the moments I prepared with you will be memorable for this album as well.
Q. Starting with the concert in Seoul on June 14-15, we will have our first solo concert tour, so please give us a little spoiler about how you feel about holding the concert and the points to watch.
- Irene: I'm also looking forward to showing you a new feeling of Irene & Seulgi. The goal I wanted to achieve through this album was to finish the concert well. I'll show you the harmony and balance of Irene & Seulgi. See you at the concert hall soon, ReVeluv!
- Seulgi: Thank you to our fans that we can have a solo concert as Irene & Seulgi. I'm looking forward to it because we're performing in a different color than Red Velvet, so I think it'll be different, and there'll be a touching point for ReVeluv.
