Choi Ye-na held a showcase for her fourth mini-album 'Blooming Wings' at Blue Square in Yongsan, Seoul, on the 29th and wrote the lyrics of 'I hate being nice the most, but I actually like being nice.'
Shinbo 'Blooming Wings' is an album full of love and growth narratives that are presented in the most obvious form. Choi Ye-na reinterpreted the feeling of her first love, when her pure heart bloomed like an angel's wing, the first moment of separation in an alley where it was raining just in time, and the process of love.
The title song 'I hate the word nice the most' is a song in which colorful strings and instruments unfold like fireworks in midsummer. Choi Ye-na participated in the lyrics and conveyed lingering feelings and empathy to the listener by implying the pure heart of wanting to be a good and good person to the loved one, the pain after the breakup, and all the feelings of love.
As I wrote the title song myself, I wonder whether the expression 'I hate being nice the most' is reflected in my personal experience. When Choi Ye-na started writing "When I listened to this song, the theme of love was difficult and I thought about how to touch it. But I thought it would be best to be the most honest. I tried to capture it thinking it was Yena Ramen."
Then "It was the producer's idea that he would be curious about why when he said he didn't like me being nice because I have an image of being nice." Even when I was watching cartoons and OTT, I tried to put a lot of mind when I thought about the situation by substituting it. I actually really like the word nice, but Yena is different in the song."
Regarding the album name 'Blooming Wings', he also recalled the most 'Wings Bloom' moment in his career so far. Choi Ye-na said "It is considered a stage where I am satisfied with spreading my wings. There is a video of a dance break while transforming at the Hanteo Chart Awards. I thought that if I perform with all my heart, they will recognize me" he replied.
Choi Ye-na will release her fourth mini album 'Blooming Wings' through various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 29th.
