The name of the rookie team presented by Big Hit Music is finally known.

Big Hit Music opened the official SNS channel of the new boy group at midnight on the 7th and released the team name CORTIS.

Cortis is a name created by irregularly fetching six letters of the alphabet from 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES'. It means 'thinking freely outside of the standards and rules set by the world'. The five members, Martin, James, Joo Hoon, Sung Hyun and Geonho, will present their creations with different ideas and new perspectives to the world, just like the group name.

Cortis also had a different way of disclosing his team name. They first exposed the group's name with a 'logo sound' video posted on TikTok, a global short-form video platform, at midnight on the 7th. The short form was produced directly using Martin's actual composition program. The team name appears on the screen and a mysterious sound as if an unknown world is opening is played. It means that they greeted them for the first time with the contents they created, just like 'Young Creator Crew', who co-created music, choreography, and video.

The members' images were first revealed through a video posted with 'logo Sound' on this day. Cortis happily immersed himself in his work by taking pictures of each other in a space where various sound devices and keyboards were placed. This is a video that captures the actual atmosphere of the studio, and you can get a glimpse of Cortis as it is. In addition, a completely new and original sense stands out, such as promoting the team's SNS channel against the backdrop of the self-designed studio.

Cortis will make his official debut on August 18. All teenagers of 'Young Creator Crew' will perform their creative abilities in various areas such as writing, composing, choreography, and videography based on their stories. The K-pop fandom's expectations for the first rookie in six years by Big Hit Music, which includes BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, are already different.
