EXO's Suho Makes Solo Comeback with 'Who Are You'

At 6 p.m. on this day, a total of seven songs, including the title song 'Who Are You', which attracted attention with Suho's farewell BGM, will be released on various music sites. A music video filmed at an all-location in Australia will be released at the same time on the YouTube SMTOWN channel. The music video shows a road trip scene where you enjoy freedom with your whole body.

In addition, various rock music such as 'Golden Hour' (Golden Hour), which Suho participated in writing lyrics, as well as 'Light The Fire' (Medicine), 'Birthday' (Birthday), and 'Fadeout' (Fadeout).
Suho's countdown live, which will be held on YouTube and TikTok EXO channels from 5 p.m. on this day, is expected to introduce new songs and meet behind-the-scenes.

Q. How do you feel about making a solo comeback
- Even though it's already our fourth mini album, I'm nervous and excited. As always, there were many difficult moments while preparing for the album, but at this point, I am satisfied and proud of my album. I've experienced a lot in a year and four months, and I feel new and learned a lot. That's why I paid more attention to the details of this album. I hope that my efforts in the album will reach the listeners well.
Q. Every album is showing various rock genres. What's the difference between the previous ones and this album?
- The last albums were produced by asking myself and focusing on me. What kind of person is I? What kind of artist is I? I worked on it by asking myself that question. But this time, I turned my focus to the outside thinking about what kind of person Suho is and what kind of artist he is and what kind of music they want to hear from me. I think that's the biggest difference.
Q. What is Suho's definition of 'Suho Genre'?
- Isn't it 'band sound with twisty charm' in a nutshell?(laughs) First of all, I'm a person whose music I like is clear, so I don't think I can leave out the band sound for the `Suho genre.' And even though the atmosphere of the music seems to be mainly dark and minor, I think you can feel a reversal charm because the message is trying to convey hopefully.
Q. If you could introduce the title song 'Who Are You' in Suho's language?
- When I first heard the melody, I thought it would be nice to play it excitedly while driving, but as I kept listening, I felt sadness or complex emotions in a breakup situation, so it came to me more attractive. I wonder how you feel. Oh! The English version is also being published, and this was one of my resolutions. I got a lot of inspiration from my time in the U.S. earlier this year, and when I released a new album, I thought I should play the English version of the title song together. I chose it as the title song because I think it's a melody that many people can relate to and learn easily, so I hope you listen carefully.
Q. What was the most impressive episode during the album production process?

Q. You participated in the lyrics of the track 'Golden Hour', where did you get your inspiration? What's your favorite lyrics?
- I like to run while watching the sunset when I run, and that time felt so beautiful. So I started writing the lyrics thinking that the time spent with my loved ones might be the golden hour of my life. My favorite part is 'You're my golden hour'. I think I can clearly feel the emotions in the song.
Q. We will also provide a performance with the track 'Medicine', but it is our first time dancing on a solo stage. Why did you organize the performance?
- I watched various performances during my time in the United States, and suddenly I thought that performance and dance cannot be left out in K-pop. So I thought it would be nice to have my own performance that suits my music, and since April, I met with a choreographer and watched several videos and studied for four months, and came up with choreography production and music video ideas together. I don't know how it'll feel because it's like a musical, but you'll be able to meet Suho's own performance that Suho can do now.
Q. There are a lot of fans who started running following Suho who is serious about running. If you could pick a song that goes well with running on the album?
- 'Light The Fire' is recommended. It's a completely rock genre song, so I think I can run more vigorously when I run.

- Chanyeol really liked 'Medicine' and said he enjoyed the choreography. Kai liked the title song 'Who Are You', but it was so addictive that he said he wanted to listen to it once and then right away. (laughs)

- I'm always grateful to EXO-L. Some of you love my music 'It's Suho's music', but this time, I hope you can just listen comfortably and find songs that suit your taste. We will always show you new sides and repay your love with better music and performances. I love you!
