According to Japan's Oricon on the 10th, ILLIT's first Japanese single 'Toki Yo Tomare' (original time よ止まれ/Toki Yo Tomare) ranked second in the latest 'Weekly Single Ranking' (September 15/counting period September 1-7). The single proved ILLIT's hot local popularity, surpassing the first week of Japan's third mini album 'bomb' (night) released in June with sales on the first day of its release alone.
The single and title song of the same name are also doing well on local music charts. 'Toki Yo Tomare' has remained high ever since it topped the AWA Music Real-Time Surge Chart upon release. The music video also went viral. ILLIT's music video, full of lovely girl sensibilities, remains at the top of the daily chart after topping the real-time chart of Line Music 'Music Video Top 100'.
Responses to the stage of 'Tokyo Yo Tomare' presented at various music broadcasts and festivals are hot. ILLIT won the hearts of fans with its refreshing and lively performance that takes advantage of the charm of the cheerful disco pop genre. The hand motion point choreography, which expresses the clock second hand that anyone can easily follow, is receiving good responses on the short form. Fans said "Illit's own genre is becoming clear. This is the ILLIT core", "Perfectly pulled off the bouncy style.", Compliments such as `The ILLIT's cuteness is invincible.'
ILLIT is increasing its contact with fans with various events commemorating its Japanese debut. They attracted about 40,000 audiences for the first fan concert '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN' held four times in two cities between August and September. Fans are constantly visiting pop-up stores held at landmarks in Shibuya, Tokyo, subway stations with photos of ILLIT, and cafes.
According to Hive Music Group's label Billifrap, ILLIT will participate in 'Rock in Japan FESTIVAL 2025' to be held at Soga Sports Park in Chiba City, Japan on the 14th. The performance is Japan's largest music festival, which attracted more than 270,000 people last year alone. ILLIT will be on the main stage, GRASS STAGE, to imprint its presence.
