Hyundai Capital won its opening three consecutive games without being shaken by the sudden departure of its main setter Hwang Seung-bin.

Hyundai Capital beat KEPCO 3-1 (25-22, 15-25, 25-19, 27-25) in the first round match of the 「Jin Air 2025-2026 Season V League」 at Suwon Gymnasium on the 29th. Hyundai Capital, ranked first, won three games and scored eight points, while KEPCO, the lowest, failed to secure points as it lost three games.

Hyundai Capital had a big variable in the first set 12-13 as its main setter Hwang Seung-bin tangled with foreign striker Leo in the defense process, leaving due to a left shoulder injury. He complained of severe pain in his left shoulder and predicted a major injury, and was taken to the hospital on a stretcher. An X-ray examination at the hospital revealed that there was no abnormality in the bone. An additional examination will be conducted on the 30th to check the physical condition in more detail.

As a strong team that won last year, Hyundai Capital was not shaken by Hwang Seung-bin's absence. Lee Joon-hyeop secured three points while maintaining his performance even after being replaced.

Hyundai Capital's foreign main catcher Leo scored 21 points, including two serves and three blocks, while Heo Soo-bong added 12 points and Shin Ho-jin added 11 points.

Korea Electric Power Corporation had 24 points for Benon and 15 points for Eddie and Kim Jung-ho, which had better offense than Hyundai Capital, but failed to take the set to take care of as they fell behind in decision-making power.

In the first set, Hyundai Capital began to lead 22-20 as Hyundai Capital Bayarsaihan succeeded in a quick open at 20-20 and Korea Electric Power Corp.'s Eddie committed a double contact error. Hyundai Capital's Jinyoung Kim even blocked KEPCO's Kim Jung-ho's attack to become 23-20, winning the first set.

In the second set, he knelt to KEPCO by 10 points in vain. Korea Electric Power Corp.'s Benon and Eddie scored seven points each, and Cyreo was tied to one point. Korea Electric Power Corporation's reception suddenly shook, so I couldn't even use my strength properly.

In the third set, Leo survived again with seven points and caught the flow. The fourth set reversed the trend of being dragged by KEPCO. In 10-13, Jinyoung Kim's fastball, Shin Ho-jin's serve ace, and Heo Soo-bong's quick open burst in succession to balance 13-13. At 14-14, Leo blocked the fastball of the forward line and turned it over 15-14. Amid the 25-25 deuce close game, Benon's fatal offense came out, and Choi Min-ho's serve ace ended the game.
