Koo Joon-yeop and Seo Hee-won got married in 2022. Koo Joon-yeop and Seo Hee-won had been dating for about a year in 1998, and after hearing that Seo Hee-won had divorced Wang So-bi in 2021, Koo Joon-yeop contacted them again.

However, Seo Hee-won died of acute pneumonia during a trip to Japan on the 2nd. Seo Hee-won is known to have left assets worth 120 billion won, including 25 billion won in real estate assets such as the site of the National Museum of Art (about 44.38 million yuan and 8.86 billion won in Hanwha) and a penthouse (80.34 million yuan, about 16.04 billion won).
