Local media, including Taiwan ET Today, reported on the 20th that `Koo Joon-yeop is planning to return to Korea after making a commemorative statue of the late Seo Hee-won.'
Koo recently laid the remains of Seo Hee-won in Geumbosan Mountain. To honor his wife, he decided to collaborate with a friend designer to create a commemorative statue. The statue will be completed within this year, and Seo Hee-won's mother and younger brother Seo Hee-je also actively supported the statue.
After making the statue, Koo will return to Korea to meet his family.
The current media is "Koo Jun-yeop put everything aside for the pain of losing his wife. At the moment, we don't know when he will resume his activities."
Koo Joon-yeop and Seo Hee-won broke up in 1998 after dating for about a year. Since then, Seo Hee-won married Chinese businessman Wang So-bi and had one son and one daughter, but divorced in 2021. Upon hearing the news, Koo Joon-yeop contacted Seo Hee-won, and the reunited two got married in 2022. However, Seo Hee-won died of acute pneumonia during a trip to Japan in February.
