Choo Sung-hoon's agency headquarters told Sports Chosun on the 26th that rumors that Choo Sung-hoon paid for Kim Sae-ron's funeral are not true.
Earlier, rumors spread that Chu Sung-hoon paid for Kim Sae-ron's funeral expenses in full, especially in some online communities. The two appeared together on Channel A 'The Urban Fisherman's Palau episode' in 2019, but they are known to have no personal friendship other than broadcasting.
Meanwhile, Kim Sae-ron was found dead at his home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul on February 16. Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family claimed to have dated actor Kim Soo-hyun for six years since 2015, when the deceased was a minor. Kim Soo-hyun's side has denied the rumors of dating Kim Sae-ron on several occasions, but expressed its position that `Kim Sae-ron had never dated when he was a minor and dated from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020 after he became an adult.' Conflict is intensifying as Kim Soo-hyun filed a complaint against Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family over allegations of dating as a minor.
