On the 16th, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by Hana-kyung on the 15th and confirmed the ruling of the first and second trials. As a result, Hana-kyung was liable for compensation to A, who claimed the damage of the affair.
The case began in the first trial in 2023. At that time, the Busan District Court's Dongbu Branch Civil Division 6 recognized part of plaintiff A's victory and sentenced Hana-kyung to 15 million won in damages. Both sides later appealed, but they were also rejected by the appeals court and the original trial was maintained.
The background of the lawsuit is the relationship between Hana-kyung and B. Mr. A took issue with his affair with Hana-kyung, and Mr. B is known to be Mr. A's husband. According to the complaint, the two first met in 2021 at an entertainment center in Busan and continued dating for about half a year until early 2022. Later, after traveling to Vietnam together, Hana-kyung became pregnant, but it was also revealed that the relationship fell apart and she underwent surgery to terminate her pregnancy.
Hana-kyung argued that she did not know that B was a married man, but the court did not accept it. In particular, during the Supreme Court's appeal process, Hana-kyung did not submit an appeal, so the appeal itself was dismissed.
In the past, Hana-kyung said on social media, `Don't believe rumors without evidence. I am confident,' he said, but the ruling made legal responsibility inevitable.
Meanwhile, Hana-kyung made her debut in the MBC drama 「Byeol-Soon-Geom」 in 2005 and appeared in works such as 'President', 'Geuncho-go-King', and 'Shinki-dong'.
