Lee Seung-gi, Hook, true education... Lee Seung-ki, pay 587 million won in settlement money

Lee Seung-gi, an all-around entertainer, won over his former agency Hook Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Hook).

On the 4th, a court hearing was held at the Seoul Central District Court's 20th Civil Agreement Division (Chief Judge Lee Se-ra) to confirm the absence of a debt filed by Hook against Lee Seung-ki.

On this day, the court ruled that `Hook should pay 587 million won to Lee Seung-gi.'

In 2022, Lee Seung-gi sent a certificate of content and notified him of the termination of the exclusive contract, saying that Hook did not properly pay the settlement of music revenue for 18 years after his debut.

Hook sent KRW 5.4 billion to Lee Seung-ki in the name of unpaid settlement and delayed interest. He also filed a lawsuit to confirm the existence of a debt, claiming that he paid Lee Seung-ki 2.9 billion won in unpaid settlement and 1.2 billion won in delayed interest, saying he should get 900 million won back because he paid more than he actually did.

In response, Lee Seung-ki filed a counterclaim, saying it was not an agreed settlement. According to additional data obtained, the unpaid settlement amount amounts to 9.6 billion won, so you have to receive an additional 3 billion won from Hook. In addition, Lee Seung-gi donated 5 billion won out of 5.4 billion won sent by Hook, excluding litigation costs, and filed a complaint against Kwon Jin-young, former CEO of Hook, and others on charges of violating the law on aggravated punishment of certain economic crimes (business embezzlement and fraud).

Lee Seung-gi said, `Younger friends are still being treated unreasonably. Please take a look so that young people who are engaged in entertainment activities do not suffer from the settlement issue."
