Choi Dong-seok joined KBS in 2009 as an announcer for the 30th open recruitment and married Park Ji-yoon, a broadcaster who was in the same class, after four years of dating. He had one son and one daughter, but he submitted an application for divorce settlement in October 2023, 14 years after marriage. Currently, Park Ji-yoon has parental rights and custody of her children, and Choi Dong-seok is exercising the right to interview her children every two weeks.
