On the 11th, the Suwon High Court's 2-3 Criminal Department (B) postponed the sentence of an appeal trial for Yoo Young-jae, who was arrested on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (forced harassment by relatives), to July.
Initially, the court was scheduled to proceed with the sentencing date for Yoo Young-jae, but the sentencing date was postponed as Yoo Young-jae applied for a change in the sentencing date.
Yoo Young-jae is accused of forcibly harassing Sunwoo Eun-sook's biological sister A five times since 2023.
Yoo Young-jae, however, completely denied the allegations, saying, `It was just an expression of intimacy.' In addition, apart from this, Sunwoo Eun-sook filed a lawsuit against Yoo Young-jae to cancel the marriage.
In January, the first trial court sentenced Yoo Young-jae to two and a half years in prison and arrested him in court, saying, `There is a risk of running away.'
In addition, he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, completing a 40-hour sexual violence treatment program, and restricting employment for five years at institutions related to children, adolescents, and the disabled.
In his final statement, Yoo Young-jae bowed his head and apologized deeply to the victim, who may be in pain. I reflected a lot in prison. I'm reflecting on the fact that I came here with the wrong judgment for a moment" he appealed.
