KBS Cho Yong-pil confirms illegal transactions in concert tickets, and legal measures are taken when scalpers are caught

KBS announced its position on illegal ticket transactions of 'KBS 80th Anniversary of Liberation - Cho Yong-pil (hereinafter Cho Yong-pil Concert)'

The production team of the 'Cho Yong-pil Concert' was caught illegally trading with the opening of the ticket on the 20th. The production team will manage ticket tickets more thoroughly through secondary identification when entering the venue and will take legal action in case of detection."

KBS has introduced a thorough self-identification process for the safety of audiences and a fair viewing culture in this large-scale free performance by Cho Yong-pil to block ticket transactions and carefully prepare for the audience to enjoy the performance with confidence even in the hot weather. The strengthened and supplemented ticket exchange rules are as follows.

In order to prevent illegal reservations and proxy entry, KBS will conduct the first ID check, the second ticket, and the ID re-examination when the audience enters. Seats were scheduled to be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at the site on the day of the performance, but given the age group of the audience, it was changed to random assignments due to concerns about stability problems.

KBS planned the `Cho Yong-pil Concert' to mark the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japan's colonial rule. 'Cho Yong-pil Concert' will be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome on Sept. 6 and will be broadcast on KBS on Oct. 6. As this performance was a meeting with Cho Yong-pil, a living legend 'The King', he achieved a 100% reservation rate within three minutes of the ticket opening, drawing attention.
