Cartier, which has partnered with the Venice Biennale, has drawn attention as an official partner at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. Biennale Cinema 2025.
Cartier is sponsoring all master classes within the festival's official program for the first time this year. Through Cartier Master Class 'THE ART AND CRAFT OF CINEMA', a representative program, we shared the experiences of the world's best film practitioners and highlighted not only the characters on the screen but also various film talents who are active off-camera.
In particular, at Match Point Arena on the island of Lido, a new master class was held four times, with Sophia Coppola, Milena Cannonero, Jane Campion and Tanya Segachuan, Sergio Castellito and Margaret Marzantini, and Alfonso Cuarón's creative partners.
Cartier has been in partnership with the Venice Biennale since 2021. In particular, the "Cartier Glory to the Film Maker" award ceremony, which is given to those who have made a special contribution to the film industry, has been established and awarded. This year's award ceremony was held on the 3rd at the Sala Grande inside the Palacho del Cinema on Lido Island, and American artist and director Julian Schnabel was selected as the 2025 winner. He is well-known for his works such as 'Goch, at the Gate of Eternity', 'Submarine and Butterfly', 'Basquiat', etc., and is considered to have made an original contribution to the modern film industry.
Meanwhile, the 82nd Venice International Film Festival opened on the 27th of last month and lasted for 11 days until the 6th.
