Jeon Yu-sung, the 'big star of comedy', dies at 76...The mortuary will be held in Asan Medical Center, Seoul

'Gaggy godfather' Jeon Yoo-sung has passed away. He was 76.

According to the Korea Broadcasting Comedian Association on the 25th, Jeon Yu-seong was hospitalized at Chonbuk National University Hospital in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, and received treatment, but died at 9:05 p.m. that day due to worsening pulmonary pneumothorax symptoms. He also underwent pneumothorax procedures in June, but his breathing difficulties continued, and his condition recently worsened again, and his juniors continued to visit him.

The mortuary of the deceased will be set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, and the funeral will be strictly held by the president of the Korea Broadcasting Comedian Association (the head of the Korean Broadcasting Comedian). The association moved the funeral home to Seoul for the convenience of condolences, and many comedian juniors are already reportedly moving to honor the deceased.

Jeon Yu-sung was born in January 1949 and made his debut as a broadcast writer through TBC 'Yoo-sung's Show Show' in 1969, before turning himself into a comedian. He has written the history of Korean comedy by playing on numerous stages, including 'Humor No. 1', 'Gag Concert', and 'Show Video Jockey'. In particular, the term 'Gagman' was used for the first time in the era of being called 'the playwright' and 'the comedian' to lead the change in popular culture.
