Jin Sung-man, a member of the leading male quartet in the 1960s and a filmmaker, died in Los Angeles on the 13th (local time). He was 85.

The deceased ended his life at his home in LA, where his family stayed due to a chronic illness, and the funeral will be held there. He is survived by his wife, Kim Ji-ae, the younger brother of actor Kim Ji-mi, and three daughters.

In 1961, the deceased began his music career as a member of the Yegreen Orchestra's choir and entered the popular music industry. After working as a voice actor, he formed 'Johnny Brothers' with Kim Joon, Yang Young-il, and Kim Hyun-jin in 1963. The following year, it gained popularity by singing the same song as the theme song of the movie 'Red Mahura', which is still called the representative military song of the Air Force.




With the huge success of the song, Johnny Brothers became a representative group in the popular music industry in the 1960s, releasing successive hits such as 'The Millhouse's Second Daughter' and 'Horizon' However, in the summer of 1968, the team was disbanded, with the members deciding to go their separate ways.Since then, the deceased has expanded his activities to become a filmmaker. As the representative of the film company 「Jimmy Film」 founded by actor Kim Ji-mi in 1986, he has established his position in Chungmuro by producing films such as"Orange Country","Praise Myeongja,"Do you shoot","Water Country", and"I will give you without hesitation".
