If you follow the Mexican chief's words, you're a dummy" he made an insulting remark, and when Bosch protested, he called in security and tried to drag him out of the venue.

Fatima Bosch, however, was undaunted and walked out with her fellow contestants. To reporters at the time, he said "The director's behavior was rude. He called me a fool. "We are powerful women, and this contest is the stage on which we will speak out."

Controversy spread as the incident was released live online. The organizing committee issued an emergency statement and said it would consider legal measures, including the removal of Nawat Ataragraisil's authority, but no concrete action was taken in the end. Nawat Ataragraisil also apologized in tears at an official press conference, but was further criticized for claiming that `I never said it was a fool' and `I didn't mean to hurt anyone.'

In Bosch's hometown of Villarermosa, thousands of residents gathered at the ballpark to watch the competition live, and at the moment of the crown award, the festive atmosphere was unfolded with fireworks.

After winning the championship, Bosch said in a press conference, `I want to be remembered as Miss Universe, who has no fear of being herself, and Miss Universe, who has changed the original form a little", he expressed his feelings.
