Daegu Court Punishes Man Over Sexual Exploitation Deepfakes of NewJeans Members

On the 20th, the Daegu District Court sentenced A (21), who was charged with violating the law on the protection of children and adolescents' sex (such as distribution of sexual exploitation), to 15 million won in fines and 40 hours of sexual violence treatment program.
In January, A is accused of making photos and videos that look like he is naked or having sex by synthesizing the face of Hani Min-ji, a Newzins Harin, at his residence in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and spreading them to a Telegram room.
The court said "The defendant considered the fact that he distributed false videos on a highly radioactive Telegram channel accessed by more than 200 people and that he was not forgiven by the victims.", he explained the reason for the sentence.
Newzins is currently making noise over his return to the door. In November last year, Newzins declared that the exclusive contract was terminated due to the breach of the contract by Odor, but the court ruled that the contract was valid.
