At 5:30 a.m. on the 27th, the bereaved family, acting colleagues, and disciples attended the funeral ceremony at Asan Medical Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to see off the last of the deceased.
Actor Cho In-seok, who hosted the event, honored the deceased by saying, `A national actor who pioneered the history of acting in broadcasting and cultural circles' and `If you are an actor, there is no one who is not virtuous under the teacher's umbrella.'
Kim Young-chul, who went to the memorial service, said "When I was around the teacher, I didn't lose my direction. He cried, saying, "One eye was cheering." Ha Ji-won recalled the words of the deceased, who comforted him while he was alive, saying, `A true artist who was humble in front of acting until the end.'

Born in Hoeryong, North Hamgyong Province in 1934, Lee Soon-jae was an actor who worked in more than 140 works for nearly 70 years after debuting with the play 'Over the Horizon' in 1956.
He was loved by viewers for his characters that spanned the ages, such as the father of "What Is Love?", teacher Yoo Eui-tae of "Heo Jun", "Bathroom Men", "Dissan", "Bethoven Virus", and "Princess Man". The sitcom 'High Kick' series re-established a friendly image, and in the entertainment show 'Grandpas Over Flowers', they opened a new heyday, called 'Straight Forward Soonjae'.
He didn't leave the stage until his last years. He was active in the KBS Drama Awards in 2024 with his posthumous KBS drama Gaesori. At the time, he was indebted and helped a lot throughout his life," he said in his final greeting.
On the 25th, the government honored the deceased with the Geumgwan Order of Cultural Merit.
