Director Taseem said at a press conference in Korea on the 6th at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, "'The Fall: Directors Cut' The first completed version was 4K, and I wanted to shoot the latest version because I thought it was a movie that could last a long time"
As for how he came to present the director's edition, Tasem said, `The first complete version I made was 4K. At the time of its release, it was difficult for the 4K version to be shown, but I wanted to make a movie with the latest technology because I thought that 'this movie must be a movie that will last for a long time'. But I'm doing 4K remastering, and it's hard to find the 4K filming at the time. So I took the original version that I filmed and completed it in Montreal."
He also talked about why visual storytelling is important when making a movie. "When I was young, I went to boarding school in the Himalayas, and my father worked as an engineer in Iran," he said. "So I came across cartoons on TV in languages I don't understand, and naturally I came to think of visual storytelling as important."
Released on the 25th of last month, 'The Fall: Director's Cut' is a movie in which stuntman Roy tells a curious young girl, Alexandria, about the fantastic adventures of five outlaws in 24 countries around the world. It has returned to the director's edition for the first time in 18 years by adding more colorful videos and new scenes through 4K remastering.
