Netflix held a production presentation for the new original series 'MeloMovie' (written by Lee Na-eun, directed by Oh Choong-hwan) at the Grand Ballroom of Dongdaemun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 12th. The event was attended by Choi Woo-sik, Park Bo-young, Lee Joon-young, Jeon Son-i and Oh Choong-hwan.
"Melo Movie" is a movie-like romance in which young people who want to love and dream find each other, become inspiration, and overcome their trauma. It depicts the reunion romance of young people who have their own deficiencies but move toward dreams and love, and those who dream of a melodrama life. Director Oh Choong-hwan, who directed `Hotel Del Luna' and 'Startup', and writer Lee Na-eun, who debuted with 'We Are' that year, added strength.
It is explained that Choi Woo-sik and Park Bo-young, including director Oh Choong-hwan, decided to join the group against writer Lee Na-eun's writing. Choi Woo-sik, who worked with him, said "It came to me well because I know what attractive the writer's writing is. I was happy with the process of growing up in this field as well." Director Oh Choong-hwan, who has already experienced collaboration with senior writers such as Park Ji-eun, Hong sisters, and Park Hye-ryeon, also expressed satisfaction with her collaboration with Lee Na-eun. Director Oh said "I worked with good writers, but I think this was the first script I had projected myself on." Writer Lee Na-eun was younger than me, but she seemed to have had similar times with similar sensibilities to me. 'That year, we liked and cheered with that feeling, and this work came to my attention, and I thought, 'I want to do it.'" he said.
It is a highly anticipated work in that it contains the growth period of young people.
