Park Eun-bin strangling Seol Kyung-gu and trampling on painkillers...'Hyperknife,' a revenge battle between priests and priests, has a strong start

Disney Plus' original series 'HyperKnife' marked an intense start with a tense development.

'Hyperknife', which was first released on the 19th, opened a new chapter in the medical thriller, focusing on the tense confrontation between Park Eun-bin and Seol Kyung-gu.

Jeong Se-ok, played by Park Eun-bin, is a surgeon with genius skills, but he is wandering illegal surgery sites. He was brutally abandoned by Choi Deok-hee (Seol Gyeong-gu), a once respected teacher and world-class neurosurgeon, and fell into the abyss, and he faces his teacher again after six years. But this meeting is not just a reunion. Seok prepares for thorough revenge in exchange for helping Deok-hee, whose life is in danger, and the relationship between the two changes beyond teachers and disciples to enemies.

In particular, from the first episode, the scene where Se-ok wrapped Deok-hee's IV around her neck and strangled her, and the moment when Deok-hee tried to find a painkiller, trampled in front of her, created breathtaking tension. The structure of the confrontation between the two, which is explosive in emotion, gives a strong sense of immersion and raises expectations for future developments.

The rapid development and direction that doubles the tension of the play also attracted attention. Se-ok's secret surgery and Deok-hee's chase after detecting it and chasing the trail made my hands sweat. In addition to this, the intervention of surrounding figures such as Seo Young-joo (Yoon Chan-young) and Han Hyun-ho (Park Byung-eun) was added, and the story flowed more closely and urgently.

Combining revenge, love and hatred, a narrative intertwined with solidarity and genre tension, 'HyperKnife' is drawing attention as a work that breaks the formula of existing medical thrillers. Attention is focusing on what kind of revenge Se-ok, a once-promising genius doctor, will take against his teacher Deok-hee, who drove him to ruin.

Meanwhile, 'HyperKnife' is released twice every Wednesday.
