Starting in Paris, France, take pictures of Japan's remote islands, Korea's Nampung Island, and Geoje Island, and then go back to Tokyo, Japan! The movie "The Movie" (directed by Yutaka Matsushige) features the unintended adventures of Goro, a professional soloist who seeks the ultimate soup. It was unveiled at the press and distribution premiere of 'Solitary Gourmet the Movie' held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 13th. The premiere was attended by Yutaka Matsushige, an actor and director who played Goro Inogashira, who enjoys lonely gastronomy.
'Lone Gourmet The Movie' is a film adaptation of the popular TV Tokyo series 'Lone Gourmet', which began in 2012 and led the Asian hunger for eating alone. The small but fulfilling eating show by ordinary office worker Goro provides viewers with small but certain happiness, so-called 'small but certain happiness', and it is a series that has gained a lot of popularity not only in Japan, but also in Korea and Asia. Leading a total of 11 seasons and enjoying solid popularity to this day, 'Lone Gourmet' produced a film version that expanded the venue to France, Korea, and Japan, attracting attention on an upgraded scale.
In particular, this 'Solitary Gourmet The Movie' drew attention by Yutaka Matsushige, who has played Goro, the main character of the series for 13 years, participated in directing, writing, and planning, as well as starring Jo Odagiri, Yuki Uchida, Ahn, and Yoo Jae-myung in Korea to complete the all-time casting.

Yutaka Matsushige, who said he restricted directing to director Bong Joon-ho during the production of `The Movie of Solitary Gourmet,' said "I wanted to make a movie on a large scale beyond the project of a Japanese movie. So, I wrote a letter with a directing suggestion because I thought Bong Joon-ho would cook this work interestingly. Unfortunately, director Bong Joon-ho was unable to direct because of his time, but he was cheered that he wished the series well. However, I didn't know it would be released at the same time as Bong Joon-ho's new film 'Mickey 17'. I was very surprised."
Regarding his appearance as a director as well as his appearance in `The Movie of Solitary Gourmet,' Yutaka Matsushige said, `This work had to be conducted with leadership from the beginning. "When I was filming the movie, I fell in love with it and worked hard, but I was very worried (as a director) about how to bring the audience to the theater ahead of its release. "As a director, I think Yutaka Matsushige is an actor that I can entrust with confidence. "

Yutaka Matsushige, who has a special affection for Korean food, said "I was actually born and raised in the Kyushu region of Japan. I think seaweed and some ingredients were similar because the place where I lived is close to Busan. At first, I thought salted pollack roe was also a Fukuoka dish, but it turned out that it was a Korean dish. There is a difference in taste between Japanese and Korean food. I think there is a food in Korea that is difficult to cook as a Japanese. Japanese cuisine is used only as a food culture itself, but there is no spicy taste like Korea. I like spicy taste, so Korean food is a dish of Tokyo."
The impression of Yoo Jae-myung, a Korean actor who appeared in the movie, was also special. Yutaka Matsushige said, "This work wanted to use Korea as a big background. In what circumstances, I thought about whether to use a Korean background or a Korean actor. I watched a lot of Korean movies since about 3 years ago, and among them, I watched a movie called 'No Sound'(20, directed by Hong Eui-jung) where 'Ah! It occurred to me that this is an actor. I cast him because I thought he was an actor who would understand our work well and act. The Japanese audience also expressed their trust in Yoo Jae-myung and the scene he appeared in.
Meeting a Korean audience with Sung Si-kyung with Netflix's gourmet 『Crazy Restaurant』, which was released on the 27th of last month, also means that he is doing entertainment through Sung Si-kyung and Netflix, but that does not mean that he has ambitions to enter Korean entertainment. Netflix also aired an omnibus version of 'Lone Gourmet's Solitary Gourmet'. On the other hand, I also want to make a Korean version."
