Actor Park Eun-bin takes off his right image and returns as a crazy character.
Disney+ held a production presentation for the new original series 'HyperKnife' (played by Kim Sun-hee, directed by Kim Jung-hyun) at a hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 17th. Director Park Eun-bin, Seol Kyung-gu, Yoon Chan-young, Park Byung-eun and Kim Jung-hyun attended the event.
'Hyperknife' is a medical thriller about the fierce confrontation between the former promising genius doctor 'Seok' reunites with his teacher 'Deokhee' who dropped him into the abyss. Park Eun-bin plays genius surgeon Jeong Se-ok and Seol Kyung-gu plays Choi Deok-hee, the world's best neurosurgeon who brutally threw Se-ok away. In addition, Yoon Chan-young acts as Seo Young-joo, who protects Se-ok by claiming to be Se-ok's bodyguard, and Park Byung-eun plays as Han Hyun-ho, an anesthesiologist who helps him continue surgery while regretting Jeong Se-ok's genius.
Park Eun-bin said "This is the first time the OTT series has been released, so it was a long-awaited work even after filming. I couldn't figure out how this work would be completed, especially throughout the shoot. So, it will finally be released to the world in two days, so I would appreciate it if you could share a lot of stories."
Park Eun-bin plays Se-ok, a psychopathic genius doctor, and shows a surprising twist by committing unexpected evil acts such as serial murder. Park Eun-bin is a genius neurosurgeon who loves his brain and surgery so much that he is ruining himself. Se-wook is not able to control his impulse, and he is a character who has no fear. I think I'll show you a lot of things that are out of control. In a way, there was a very simple part that was childish, so I thought it was a character that expressed the inside very transparently. Those points seem to resemble Deok-hee, but I think they will show the complete opposite. I hope you keep an eye on how Seok will jump out. I can't bring myself to ask for support."
Regarding the Seok character, who is close to a new transformation, Park Eun-bin said, `Once it was a genre and character that I had never done before, I found everything very interesting when I first met them. Above all, Se-ok will go through the process of digging through each other's bare faces with Deok-hee. So I met my senior for the first time this time, but every scene with him was dopamine. I received good stimulation in every scene, and I don't know how the viewers will accept it, but I had a lot of glorious moments meeting my senior."
"Hyperknife" is expected to be Park's best work to show her new face. When Park Eun-bin was filming "'The Unmanned Diva', the title 'Hyperknife' drew attention. When I turned over the first chapter, I saw a very strong log line, and I thought that it was a work that strongly led the introduction of the character because I was a neurosurgeon. So I'm not the type to make difficult choices. I don't like challenges either. However, I am constantly judging that I want to do things that I like and can do inside. I didn't think it was a difficult decision, and this work also seems to have always been excited about what deep emotions I could convey to the viewers through this character called Seok. I'm going to show you a very crazy character, but I hope you watch Seok's corner until the end. I'd like you to see how long I'm so crazy. When I found my face, which I didn't know, I said, 'This is Seok's face, 'I hope you can enjoy it.'
Park Eun-bin, who resonated on the global stage through Netflix with "Weird Lawyer Woo Young-woo," adds to concerns as Disney+ has the lowest monthly number of users among domestic platforms. According to the mobile index of data platform company IGAWorks, Netflix topped the list with 13.45 million monthly users last month. Coupang Play (6.84 million), TVing (6.79 million), and Wave (4.18 million). Disney+ has 2.57 million people.
Park Eun-bin said "I don't choose my work because I don't think of it as a success, but as I have a long production period as the main character, there are many staff members. I don't know if I'm going to live well now, but I always remember the past when I was about to reveal it. If you've watched it until the end, I hope you watch it until the end. 'HyperKnife' will be released twice a week on Disney+ starting on the 19th.
