My brother confirmed the production of the Japanese version..Producer Ahn Gilho of 'The Secret Forest' will be directing.

CJ ENM (035760) will present the Japanese version of 'Marry My Husband' which was a hit at home and abroad. It is planned and produced by CJ ENM and meets global fans through the Amazon video streaming service Prime Video.

'Marry My Husband' is a drama planned and produced by Studio Dragon and aired on tvN in 2024, based on the popular Naver web novel of the same name. A woman who was killed after witnessing an affair between a best friend and her husband gained huge popularity by providing thrilling catharsis through regression and revenge. At the time of airing, it recorded the number one average viewership of tvN's Monday-Tuesday dramas and broke the record of breaking the record by dominating the top spot in TV-OTT's popularity. In particular, it ranked third in the leading British pop culture magazine NME's list of the 10 best Korean dramas in 2024, and became the first Korean drama to top the global daily TV show rankings in Prime Video, creating a worldwide craze for 'inner relationships'.

Thanks to this popularity, 'Marry My Husband' recently confirmed the production of the Japanese version and finished preparing to meet global fans through Prime Video. The Japanese version of 'Marry My Husband' will be a new Japanese version of the drama 'Marry My Husband' based on the original plot of the web novel, not a remake of a Korean drama. CJ ENM JAPAN and Studio Dragon, the nation's largest drama production company, will be in charge of production, Freero Pictures, which produced the movie `The Girl We Loved Back Then,' and Shochiku, a large production company with a long history in Japan, will be in charge of production.

The lineup of actors also adds to the expectation. Rising star Koshiba Huuka, who is drawing attention for her outstanding acting skills and attractive visuals, will play the heroine. The male lead was confirmed by popular actor Takeru Sato, who dominated both acting and topicality and was greatly loved. In addition, the casting lineup made up of actors representing Japan, such as Sei Shiraishi and Yu Yokoyama, raises expectations.

Director Ahn Gil-ho directed 'The Glory', 'Memories of the Alhambra Palace' and 'Secret Forest'. The script will be written by Satomi Oshima, who is well-known in Korea for the screenplay of '1L of Tears' and was named the best actor in the Japanese Academy Award for Best Screenplay for this year's '90, What's Happening'. On top of that, producer Son Sa-young of Studio Dragon, who was in charge of tvN 'Marry My Husband', and producer Lee Sang-hwa of CJ ENM's global content production team will work together as the executive producer of the Japanese version 'Marry My Husband' to demonstrate the production capabilities of K-drama.

As such, the fact that it is a global project where the K-drama production team, Japanese actors, and Japanese local staff meet is eye-catching. It is a so-called J-drama made by the K-drama production team, and it is expected to open a new chapter in the global market. As CJ ENM recently announced its ambition to open a new chapter in the global market to mark the 30th anniversary of its cultural business, attention is also being paid to the production of the Japanese version of 'My Nam-gyeol'.

A CJ ENM official said, `I'm glad to be able to present the 'Marry My Husband' that has been loved by viewers along with Prime Video.' As K-drama is recognized for its production capabilities in Korea and around the world, we are planning and developing various projects with local production companies and platforms. We will try to create a new wind in the global market with this Korea-Japan joint project,' he added.

Meanwhile, the Japanese version of `Marry My Husband' is a total of 10 episodes, which will be first released on Prime Video on June 27. The domestic broadcasting platform will be released later.
