The wealth system is suffering from budget shortfalls. The Film Council drastically cut the budget for the festival support project from 5.2 billion won in 2023 to 2.4 billion won last year. This year's subsidy was set at 3.2 billion won, but it is still far below the previous budget.
Senior programmer Park said "I came in as a deputy international employee in 2010, and the total budget at that time and the current budget are not much different. However, the proportion of state funds has decreased considerably. Compared to the state expenditure in 2010, the state expenditure confirmed this year has been cut by one-third.

Senior programmer Park said he plans to continue to seek ways to run the festival in the long term. He said, `Last year, I was able to take a breather by actively attracting sponsors. I'm worried because the economy is so bad this year. "I'm thinking a lot about how to run the festival efficiently within a limited budget. But when I said the festival was difficult, many people thought it was really difficult. I am grateful for that. Even in a difficult situation, the ultimate goal is to produce good results, so I will do my best without using this as an excuse"I vowed.
Meanwhile, the 30th Bu-guk Festival will be held from September 17 to 26 at the Film Hall in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
