Park Byung-eun met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 14th and expressed her feelings about the end of 'HyperKnife'.
Park Byung-eun played Han Hyun-ho, an anesthesiologist who is like a shadow of Jeong Se-ok (Park Eun-bin) in the play and the only one who stood by her until the end. Although he tolerated and helped illegal surgery, he sometimes gave realistic advice and played a central role, saying, `I was happy to receive more love than I expected, and it became a great study in acting as well.'
`It was especially fun to watch the acting of Seol Kyung-gu and Park Eun-bin,' he said."I was also curious about the episode where I did not appear, and I watched it, and there were many surprises in the way I expressed my emotions and characters. I learned a lot as an actor," he said.
Han Hyun-ho is the only harmless person in 'hyperknife'. A person who silently watches and helps Jeong Se-ok without knowing her past and truth. Park Byung-eun was a really pure and good person. I've never had such a good character", he explained.
He said "Psychopaths or villains are easy to catch characters through appearance, behavior, and setting, but Han Hyun-ho had to focus only on emotions and inner side. It was difficult to express and there were no outward features, so I had to go all the way with one feature of a checkered shirt"As there was no external device, I had to give him convincing power with acting."He confessed.
Park Byung-eun also mentioned the person she referred to while acting. "I drew Han Hyun-ho thinking of warm people in reality, such as a kind doctor, a warm dentist friend among my acquaintances, and nice brothers I met at a fishing spot."," he explained a detailed approach based on acting notes.
"To Jeong Se-ok, Han Hyun-ho is kind of like a tall uncle," he said. "Se-ok expresses his anger toward others, but not just to Hyun-ho." So I wondered why and came up with the keyword 'respect' "Seok was a criminal, but he was able to be with Hyun-ho until the end based on the belief that he was Hyun-ho, who believed that there was a sincerity to save people"
Filming with senior actor Seol Kyung-gu was 'Happy Time' for him. Park Byung-eun "Seol Kyung-gu is at the peak of self-management" and "Every morning, he takes out the swelling by jumping rope and shoots." Both concentration and the density of acting had a lot to learn" he expressed his admiration. In particular, "The level control when emotional expression was needed on the set and when restraining was excellent" "I felt a lot and tried to imitate it," he added.
In fact, Park Byung-eun has a new routine after this work. "I started running after Seol Kyung-gu. I got into the habit of waking up 30 minutes early before filming, running, taking a shower, and going to the scene. I had a good influence both mentally and as an actor."
As for Park Eun-bin, he expressed "He looks like a little giant" "In the field, he is smart and has excellent concentration. He also had excellent ability to cope with situations. Not only the acting details but also the communication with the staff was smooth."
Finally, he acted really happily in the piece. If I play a good role again, I want to do it sincerely like this"If Season 2 comes out, I want to draw Han Hyun-ho's feelings of learning the dark truth of Jeong Se-ok."," he said with anticipation.
Meanwhile, 'HyperKnife', starring Park Byung-eun, was a high-profile Disney+ original series through intense acting synergy with Park Eun-bin. The entire eight-part 'HyperKnife' was released on the 9th.
